Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) is one of the oldest and largest independent, nonprofit, applied research and development (R&D) organizations headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. Founded in 1947, SwRI actively collaborates with academia and provides contract R&D services to industrial and government clients. SwRI consists of nine technical divisions that offer multidisciplinary, problem-solving services in a variety of areas in engineering and the physical sciences. SwRI has extensive experience conducting customized experimental test programs to evaluate performance of a wide variety of emissions detection technologies. SwRI is a test bed for federal initiatives to mitigate greenhouse has initiatives, including development and operation of a pilot-scale flare testing system to evaluate combustion and destruction efficiencies of novel flare technologies. SwRI is also plays an integral role conducting applied research on a wide variety of sustainable and alternative energy technologies. |
