Event Details:

The “Possibilities of Using Biogas for Energy Production in Kazakhstan” seminar was held on 16 May 2018 in Astana, Kazakhtan.  Supported by the Global Methane Initiative (GMI), the primary focus of the seminar was to consider the key issues and challenges of using biogas as a renewable energy source and the possibilities of using biogas to produce green energy in Kazakhstan.  The seminar was organized by The Center "Cooperation for Sustainable Development", and the Kazakhstan Association for Waste Management "KazWaste" in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The seminar was attended by 35 people, including representatives of the Global Methane Initiative (GMI), government agencies, financial institutions, business associations, and enterprises.
