COVID-19 Guidelines


The Global Methane Initiative and the Climate and Clean Air Coalition will comply with all applicable U.S. federal, state, and local requirements in order to maintain a safe and healthy environment for attendees of the Global Methane, Climate and Clean Air Forum to be held in Arlington, Virginia, September 26-30, 2022.

Even with precautions in place, by registering and attending the Forum, you acknowledge that attendance and participation brings some risk of being exposed to or contracting illness, including but not limited to COVID-19, and you accept this risk.

It is each traveler’s responsibility to ensure they meet requirements for entry to the United States (as well as entry/exit requirements for other countries they may travel through). See the Requirement for Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination for Air Passengers and the Accepted COVID-19 Vaccines.

GMI and EPA are not responsible for costs associated with cancelled flights, extended hotel stays, or any other expense incurred as the result of illness or injury. It is strongly recommended that travelers carry health insurance information in case medical assistance is needed.

Health and safety

  • Attendees should follow all health and safety guidelines and instructions from event staff.
  • Masks are optional. If the COVID-19 Community Level for Arlington County, Virginia, is “High” at the time of the event, masks may be required.
  • Anyone who is experiencing any symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19 should not attend the event.
