This report assesses available information on global historical and currently available methane leakage from oil and natural gas systems. The report highlights significant data gaps in emissions data at the country level, identifies disparities in the use of effective emissions factors, projects methane emissions growth between now and 2030, and quantifies the global impacts of actions taken by the top emitting countries.
