We look forward to seeing many of you in Geneva on 7 November 2019 for our annual in-person Subcommittee meeting. This year, the meeting will be a joint meeting with the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Group of Experts on Coal Mine Methane being held on 7-8 November 2019. The GMI session will take place at noon on the first day (7 November 2019).

All Subcommittee members and Project Network members must register individually to attend. There is no registration fee for this event. Registration contains 2 steps which are described on the Registration page. Click the Register link to the right to begin.

About our Meeting Partner

The UNECE Group of Experts on Coal Mine Methane promotes mine safety and sustainability practices. The Group’s activities focus on climate change mitigation and best practices to reduce CMM emissions and abandoned mine methane (AMM) drainage. The 14th session of the Group of Experts will include:

  • A review of the accomplishments achieved under the 2018-2019 work plan,
  • Discussion of the work plan for 2020-2021,
  • Exploration of research needs in the field of CMM, and
  • Special focus on issues faced by women resulting from the gradual phase-out of coal in many countries.
