Carbon Trade Ltd., an active Global Methane Initiative Project Network member, is a consultant and project developer with more than 16 years of experience. The company undertakes the negotiation, design, management, and long-term operation of renewable energy projects. These projects include methane capture from landfill and biomass projects. Many of the company's projects operate under the Kyoto Protocol Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) with electrical power generation under local power purchase agreements.
In recent years Carbon Trade Ltd. has studied more than 100 landfill gas projects worldwide and helped develop two of Central and South America's first landfill gas energy projects.
