Colombia 
De acuerdo con datos provenientes del informe Global Anthropogenic Emissions of Non-CO2 Greenhouse Gases de la EPA, se calcula que en el año 2005 la tasa de emisiones antropogénicas de metano colocó a Colombia en el vigésimo primer lugar mundial. Aproximadamente el 24 por ciento de sus emisiones antropogénicas de metano —14,7 MMTCO2E— provienen de la agricultura (administración de estiércol), minas de carbón, vertederos y sistemas de gas natural y petróleo.
Based on data in EPA's Global Anthropogenic Emissions of Non—CO2 Greenhouse Gases report, in 2005, Colombia's estimated anthropogenic methane emissions ranked 21st in the world. Approximately 24 percent of its anthropogenic methane emissions—14.7 MMTCO2E—come from agriculture (manure management), coal mines, municipal solid waste, and natural gas and oil systems.
